Foresight
The Turning
Decades is a long time in Design Thinking land. You can float the river of creative ideas, stride through the piny forest of Service Design, clamber the boulder field of collaboration together, while roping up to traverse glaciers of organizational change. I’ve put 3-month curricula together at the Masters level and stood-up a 22-person, 5-continent, 9-timezone(!) team in a not-so-transparent 600,000-person company. A great time to refresh my ways-of-working!
Enter Foresight.
A year ago I introduced myself in a blind-leading-the-blind experiment, organizing six of us to try it out together on the strength of a few in-house webinars and a background in consulting and collaborative creativity. Now, this quarter, I’m sharing the process to the next person to take it on. We’ll co-work a genuine process across a month or two, with scanning research, foresight mapping techniques, scenarios and more. At the same time, we’ll conduct, what I playfully name, “speed foresight”… combining GPT-emini-MidJourney and our decades of experience.
